Overview
As we move forward, deeper into the 21st Century, it has become readily apparent that the future we had envisioned or that was envisioned for us in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s was simply not to be.
And now rather than reaching for the stars or landing on other worlds or producing technologies that bring us closer together or in communion with nature or that guide us on spiritual explorations, we find ourselves with living in an impatient push-button, one click, one-pill solution, hyperconsumer economy that is driven by endless status seeking, status envy, novelty lust, and dopamine addiction. With mental health fast deteriorating as reflected in the statistics regarding anxiety, depression, anger, road rage, fear, insomnia, addiction, overdoses, suicides, and hopelessness, we've also seen race relations plummet, and ethnic strife skyrocket while homelessness and economic disparities have become endemic with no end in sight, and this is just as we are entering the second decade of Peak Jobs and approaching the Pseudo-Singularity. Humanity is acquiring all the right technology for all the wrong reasons. This is not the future that we were promised. This is not the future that our ancestors sacrificed, struggled, and saved for. And most importantly, this is not the future that we are willing to leave to our children.
Yet any constructive action taken to improve this situation is almost always and immediately viewed through the pejorative lens of ethnicity, politics and/or religion. |
We reject that narrative.
We are of the belief that good deeds, good actions, and positive contributions can be politically, ethnically, and religiously agnostic. Our positive works and community involvement bear this out. And we are only gaining momentum.
Our mission ensures that we will continue to strive in this manner while we work tirelessly to build a better society. A society that we can be proud to leave to our children.
